Hecke Algebras of Finite Type Are Cellular
Let H be the one-parameter Hecke algebra associated to a finite Weyl group W , defined over a ground ring in which “bad” primes for W are invertible. Using the Kazhdan–Lusztig basis of H, we show that H has a natural cellular structure in the sense of Graham and Lehrer. Previously, this was only known in type An and Bn. Thus, we obtain a general theory of “Specht modules” for Hecke algebras of ...
متن کاملThe Representation Type of Hecke Algebras of Type B
This paper determines the representation type of the IwahoriHecke algebras of type B when q 6= ±1. In particular, we show that a single parameter non–semisimple Iwahori–Hecke algebra of type B has finite representation type if and only if q is a simple root of the Poincaré polynomial, confirming a conjecture of Uno’s [17].
متن کاملFinite Dimensional Hecke Algebras
This article surveys development on finite dimensional Hecke algebras in the last decade. In the first part, we explain results on canonical basic sets by Geck and Jacon and propose a categorification framework which is suitable for our example of Hecke algebras. In the second part, we review basics of Kashiwara crystal and explain the Fock space theory of cyclotomic Hecke algebras and its appl...
متن کاملA geometric construction of generalized quiver Hecke algebras
We provide a common generalization of the Springer map and quiver-graded Springer map due to Lusztig, called generalized quiver-graded Springer map associated to generalized quiver representations introduced by Derksen and Weyman. Following Chriss and Ginzburg for any equivariant projective map π : E → V , there is an algebra structure on the equivariant Borel-Moore homology of Z = E ×V E, we c...
متن کاملLecture 9: Finite Groups of Lie Type and Hecke Algebras
We continue to study the representation theory of finite groups of Lie type and its connection to Hecke algebras, now in a more general setting. We start by defining Hecke algebras of arbitrary Weyl groups. Then we introduce finite groups G of Lie type and relate the coinduced representations C[B \G] to Hecke algebras, similarly to what was done for GLn(Fq). In the second part of this lecture w...
